The Resting House and Hodge Cairn are two stunning bespoke shepherd’s huts which occupy a magnificent setting in a small woodland strip just to the north of the Crookston House grounds. With no vehicular access and surrounded by fields, the huts are truly tucked away and guests can unwind in a gorgeous rural landscape, surrounded by and at one with the natural world. Both huts face West, enjoying wonderful afternoon and evening sun from their extensive verandas as well as magnificent dark night skies – some guests have even witnessed spectacular sightings of the Aurora but there are no guarantees on this front!
The individual huts are stand-alone and enjoying complete privacy and spectacular views over the valley of The Gala Water and The Moorfoot Hills. The finish is exceptional combining traditional craftmanship (including some wood from the grounds of Crookston House) with modern convenience (Wifi and excellent kitchen fittings) and luxurious soft furnishings, to create a unique ambiance in which guests can relax and escape the stresses of every-day life.
